Cottonwood Canal Flume Replacement

Completed in the spring of 2017 for the Montana DNRC, this job consisted of the demolition and renovation/rebuild of approximately 1050 linear feet of elevated irrigation flume in two sections originally constructed in the 30’s. The existing structure was primarily timbers and was replaced with a steel structure. Due to the mountainous terrain, access was very restricted which required some unique solutions for hauling and erecting the structure. We designed a custom “flume zoom” and “flume boom” to accomplish the work.  Definitely a “once-in-a-lifetime” type project that we really enjoyed.
